Mother Teresa Women's University Library was started in 1984. The university library is virtually a "Mecca" for researchers in Women's Studies. Its unique and rare collection of books. reports, and journals on women, makes the library for excellence and competence in Women's Studies.

The university Library maintains a comprehensive collection of volumes numbering 74887 and 3561 volumes of complementary books from various sources. The Thrust area of library is Women's Studies pertaining to various disciplines. Membership is open to students, scholars, University Faculties and registered full time Scholars.

The library is being equipped with INFLIBNET facilities wide reference and information. Documentation work has been carried out on Women related issues. NKN (National Knowledge Network) Lab facility with 1GB connectivity

    Rules and Regulations


    *Entry is permitted with ID card only.
    *Users are requested not to bring their personal belongings inside the library and keep it in the property counter. In no case, the Library can be held responsible for any loss of articles kept inside the bags.
    *Use of edibles and mobile phones in the library is strictly prohibited.
    *Reference materials should not be taken outside from the library.
    *Overdue charged will be applicable for books returned after the due date.
    *If an issued book is lost / damaged, it is to be either replaced with latest edition.
    *Members are requested to make use of digital library only for online educational resources. Do not install or uninstall any program or service in any computer.
    *Strict silence, decorum should be maintained inside the library.
    *Underlining, scribing and tearing of pages or any other type of damaging of Books/ Periodicals are strictly prohibited.
    *Photocopying services are available within the library premises on payment of Rs.0.50 paise, per page and the terms of payment is cash.
    *The University Librarian and/or the Library Committee, depending upon the extent and nature of a problem, shall consider and decide on such matters that may not find covered under the specifications in the present Library Rules.
    *Library building is under CCTV surveillance.
